Tips on Staying Healthy

The winter months are just around the corner and so is the flu season.
Be prepared with your arsenal of remedies so that you can ward off those "bugs" and stay healthy and strong!
when we feel like we're "coming down with something", we use these simple remedies.

- Take 3 drops of oregano oil in water.
Take this twice a day when you're "fighting something".
For children: Take 1 drop in water once a day as needed.

Dissolve a packet of Emergen-C  in 4-6 oz. water.
Stir in ten drops of grapefruit seed extract.  Take this twice a day when you're "fighting something".
For children dissolve 1/3 to 1/2 packet Emergen-C in 4-6 oz. water.
Stir in three drops grapefruit seed extract.  Take once or twice a day when "fighting something".

Instead of Emergen-C you can also use pure Vitamin C crystals.  Take 1/2 tsp. mixed with 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract twice a day as needed.  For children: Take 1/8 tsp. Vitamin C powder with three drops grapefruit seed extract.  Take once a day.

Also, build a healthy gut!  Seventy percent of the immune system is contained in the gut!  Probiotics and fermented foods are a good way to give the gut good bacteria!  Staying off foods that harm your gut is important!

Special note: Staying off refined sugar really helps the body's system too!  Also remember to get plenty of rest.  Don't push yourself until you feel awful.  Stop and rest and take care of yourself before that nasty flu gets the best of you!
